Shun Li Hardware was founded by Mr. Lo Yuan-Kuo in 1998 in Huwei Township, Yunlin, and has served the building trade for nearly thirty years.
Before he opened the store, Mr. Lo learned his craft on the jobsite. As a young man he started out as a formwork apprentice, working the site shoulder to shoulder with the older carpenters and picking up the trade hands-on. After countless hours of work he became a skilled formwork carpenter in his own right; later he ran his own crews as a foreman, and then went on to contract formwork projects himself. From apprentice to carpenter to foreman to contractor, he has walked through every stage of the work first-hand.
Because he has done every part of it, he knows the specs a tradesman needs, the deadlines a jobsite is racing, and whether a material is the real thing — an insider's eye that became his biggest asset when he opened the store.
Over the years this store has stood alongside local tradesmen, construction crews and neighbors, helping raise one building after another. From the construction hardware and fasteners a project calls for, to the small parts you need to patch things up at home, the range on our shelves has grown fuller year after year, right along with what our customers ask for.
Running a shop is like doing the work itself — being straight with people matters most. What you sell has to last, the price has to be fair, and when a customer asks a question you'd better have the answer. That was Mr. Lo's principle on the jobsite, and it has been Shun Li Hardware's unchanging standard for nearly thirty years.
